John talked to Redman and The Brew at 105.7 in Columbus, Ohio this morning. He's a super DJ, and a super dad who knows and appreciates a 'Family That Rocks' when he sees one. You can listen to our converstation by clicking here. Thanks Redman! Columbus Rocks.

I was on the radio twice this past week talking about the new CD, coincidentally in the same city -- Athens, Georgia, which is home to some of my favorite rock artists over the years (and I hear they play football there too.) I had a great chat with host Liz Dalton on WGAU 1340 earlier this week. And on Wednesday I visited with Allen, Beth & Russell, from the Morning Show at Magic 102.3. You can hear that by clicking the player immediately below.

I'll be a live guest with the good folks on the Tooker In The Morning Show at KZMG 93.1 in Boise, Idaho at about 9:25 MST. We'll hopefully discuss the new Daddy A Go Go CD "Rock of All Ages" and maybe I'll make some headway in my new campaign to have Idaho adopt my new "Idaho!" song as that fine state's new rock anthem.

We have returned from Austin, Texas safely and soundly. We had an incredible time playing the Austin City Limits Festival on the 'Austin Kiddie Limits' Stage. Thanks to the ACL producers for making that happen for us. THe Daddy A Go Go Band consists of my sons Jake Boydston (15) on bass, son Max Boydston (13) on guitar, and longtime family friend and fabulous musician Jonathan Paz (16) on drums. Then there's me, who's age is the subject of much scientific and blogosphere speculation. Check out some photos from the show.

July 2007
Did somebody say 'keep on rocking?' Rock and roll great Rick Derringer releases his newest CD entitled ROCKIN' AMERICAN featuring a lot of Rick's greatest tunes, including the patrotic anthem REAL AMERICAN, a tune you may already know as Hulk Hogan's theme song. Also included on this CD is Rick's cover of Daddy A Go-Go's original song PINK FLOYD SAVES HUGH MANATEE. In the history of rock and roll there are very few people who can match Rick's credentials as a player, writer, and producer par excellence, pardon my french. So imagine my thrill. Check out Rick's site here. Mr. Derringer and his band continue to rock and entertain audiences everywhere - so check out their tour schedule, and his very impressive rock credentials on the discography page. Man o man o man o.

Daddy A Go-Go live in Austin, TX at the SXSW Music Festival, and bringing a first-ever live Daddy a Go-Go band to make it happen. Check out 12-year old Max Boydston doing the Jimi thing at SXSW. We'll be posting a highly produced video of us there shortly, but this clip from a guy's camera will probably be better.

Someone sent me this - The Daddy A Go-Go song "For THOSE ABOUT TO WALK (We salute you!) from our latest CD "Eat Every Bean and Pea On Your Plate" tops this list of 2006's best rock songs for kids found on this really cool blog.
