The thing to know about Daddy A Go Go's music is that of all the Children's Rock and Roll in the world, Daddy A Go Go's is the rock and rolliest. And our 2008 CD Rock of All Ages is another serious blast of rock and roll fun and silliness for the young and those who can still remember when they were young. It was named to Amazon.com's Top 10 Best Kids CD's of the Year list. And don't you love them for that? Songs include "Rock of Ages," and "Nana-Nana Boo-Boo" for the party crowd. "The Root Beer Song" is for the scamps among us who enjoy emphasizing the wrong words in a song. "I Lost My Teddy Bear," is about a 5-year old pondering lost youth, and contrary to popular myth "Get Your Yo-Yo's Out" is not a tribute to Yo-Yo Ma, but I guess it could be if you wanted. "Idaho!" could well be that state's new rock and roll anthem. "John Barleycorn Must Dye" about a tie-dye fanatic. Plus rockin' covers of Louis Armstrongs "What a Wonderful World," Chuck Berry's "Around and Around," and "Snoopy v The Red Baron," originally by The Royal Guardsmen. Check out all the new songs and lyrics on the newly redesigned DADDY A GO GO ROCK AND ROLL MUSIC page.
And don't forget "EAT EVERY BEAN AND PEA ON YOUR PLATE" named as one of The Top 10 Best Kids CD's of 2006! Some favorites from that include "For Those About to Walk (We Salute You)" and "Pink Floyd Saves Hugh Manatee" (a song covered by Rock and Roll God Rick Derringer on his latest CD we kid you not). And don't miss the title song and "It's a Kids World." Also on the music page, our fourth CD - "Mojo A Go Go -- Real Rock for Kids" named to Amazon.com's Top 10 Best Kids CD's of 2004 List and a Parents Choice Award Winner.
We're on I-tunes as well -- if you hear a song on our music page follow the link to iTunes and you're there. -- or all songs .99 cents each from all 6 Daddy a Go Go CD's including "Big Rock Rooster" featuring Daddy's covers of "Hello Mudduh, Hello Fadduh" and "Rag Mop." And don't forget our other Parents'Choice Award winning CD"Monkey In The Middle," and our debut CD "Cool Songs for Cool Kids," both previously named to Amazon.com's Top Ten Best Kids CDs of the Year Lists in 1999 and 2000.
We don't do a lot of live shows, but lately when we do, we seem to perform a lot in cities that start with the letter 'A.' A is for Austin, where we visited twice in 2007, once for South-by-Southwest, and again for the Austin City Limits Festival. Then there was a recent gig in Athens, Ga, and Atlanta, where we live and sometimes perform as well. Check them all out on our new photos page. Next stops - Akron, Annapolis and Annaheim?
And last thing - A is also for APPEARANCES so check that page out for things like upcoming shows, radio interviews, media things, and updates and trivia that just don't fit anywhere else.
